Systematic Reviews

Research Master Class: How to Perform a Systematic Review

A systematic review is a specific research method to combine the findings of published and unpublished studies (evidence) to answer a question about health care. A well-designed systematic review is an effective method of informing health care practice. In this workshop we will introduce methods to perform systematic reviews of clinical research. We will describe the components of an answerable research question, explain inclusion and exclusion criteria, describe how the evidence is located, how data is extracted, and provide recommended critical appraisal tools.

This session is a collaboration between NSLHD Libraries and the NSLHD Nursing and Midwifery Research Centre.
