The NSW Government Ageing & Disability Commission developed an Elder abuse prevention toolkit in conjunction with the NSW Elder Abuse Helpline & Resource Unit.
It is a helpful resource for all agencies that work with and provide services to older people living in the community, who may be at risk of or who are experiencing abuse. The toolkit supports a consistent approach to identifying, responding and preventing the abuse of older people.
See the Research Snapshots from the Australian Institute of Family Studies. Topics includes: Prevalence; Physical abuse; Psychological abuse; Sexual abuse; Financial abuse; Neglect; Culturally and linguistically diverse Australians; and Wills, powers of attorney and family agreements.

The course aims to increase awareness about abuse of older people, to encourage participation in the prevention of this abuse, and for participants to reflect on their own attitudes and behaviours when caring for an older person. This module is designed to educate all NSW Health staff to feel confident in responding appropriately to suspected cases of the abuse of older people.
The NSW Government Ageing & Disability Commission has a Keeping residents safe from abuse guide for retirement villages to operators to meet Rule 10 in the mandatory rules of conduct.
