Google and Google Scholar can be useful as a useful starting point for your research. Don't forget to evaluate what you find.
Google is useful for a general search. Remember that your algorithm may be prioritising certain results, making the search time-consuming and ineffective. Google Scholar allows you to search on journal articles, books, grey literature and statistics.

Direct access to free online resources
Google Scholar may return multiple versions of the same article/resource. The published version is often behind a paywall or require a subscription to access.

How many times a work has been cited and by whom
This helps you gauge the relevance of an article, discover articles related to your search.
Related articles link will show you a list of similar articles
For more information on searching Google and Google Scholar try these sources.
1. Go to https://scholar.google.com.au/
2. Click on Menu to open Settings
3. Click Settings
4. Click Library Links and tick the following check boxes
5. Click on Save
Your Library links are now set to NSLHD Libraries
When searching on Scholar, links will appear on the right hand side of the screen if full text is available.
If you are searching from home you will need your NSLHD Springboard account.
